i tink i haf slpt more than enough for today le bahs.hehe..
now got the energy to recall what had actually happened for the past few days befor xinfony v and on that day itself.
xinfony v is not juz plainly preparing for concert.the seniors were oso busy preparing gifts for their juniors, and the juniors preparing gifts for the seniors. is really sad that yizhen gonna leave us. boohoohoo...we will miss you A LOT!
alritez.before fri, everyone was practising really hard for the concert.i could see how baozhen was stressed up by 'spanish overture'.she told me to remind her never to play bass drum agn..i guess she has phobia over bass drum part.then the percussionists had to oso worry abt the balloonology.making sure there's enuff balloons,preparing confetti for the balloons.muz really thank everyone who had helped out.esp mun shan..her whole family helped out to cut the confetti for us.so touching...
i oso gt a box to put our balloons during the performance.plus the welfare box too.so oso muz thank welfare for the box.hahax.
other than balloonology, we oso tried hard to practise the other pieces.and the first thing i will see is baozhen taking 'spanish overture' score to practise.then the sec 1s, henry and munshan, were oso practising hard.esp thurs when henry gt the new score for saints.he was so determined to practise hard.though sometimes he gt fed up den i will try to make him try agn. practised with them awhile den ltr ahmad took over.i went to practise my cymbals.i must say my arms ache lesser now.lolx.but yest i almost cannot tahan for march together.luckily, i finally manage to hold the cymbals throughout the piece.yay~
so on friday i went to school with yizhen's graduting gift,my shoebox, my band uniform, plus my bag. feel sort of stupid carrying so many things >.< i felt so slpy during lessons coz i slpt at like 1-2am. left class after physics and off to bandrm.buden i cld only see yeling, baozhen and biing yih out of the whole percussion section. oh yea..muz really thank yl for helping the section to preparing the card for yizhen.making the whole section to write a msg in it and decorate it until so nice.but i oso made effort to wrap the cookie monster. :p it was sort of big and i carn wrap it in one wrapper.so i had to wrap it with two wrappers.but is still look quite nice.i guess now is like torn up.*heartache* hahas.the moment i see it crumpled i will be like grumbling.lolx. imagine u tried figure out hard to wrap the present for like 1hr plus and is gonna be torn up..bud nvm.hehe..so all in all yizhen got many many gifts.haha.
while waiting the rest to come, we were putting the confetti into the balloons.made a mess everywhere we go with the confetti.hehex..den when we need to prepare to leave the school, we were all in a mess.some ppl duno go where liao.den very messy larhs.keep making sure we brought everything.
we set off to vch at arnd 12.30pm.on the bus percussion tried to practise ballonology,buden it doesnt seems to work well coz we cldnt see everyone.when we reach vch, everyone helped to bring instruments up.muz thanx those who helped to carry the percussion instrument.is like bz and me ended up din carry much.we wanted to carry buden is like others helped us le,den cldnt find any to carry.so we decided to help out to set up the instruments.had a hard time setting up the accessories table.but in the end we still manage to set it up =)
ehh..den it was rehearsal bahs.i tink the cowbell sound so nice in vch.the echo v nice.wahahhas.den my crashing sometimes ok, sometimes sux.suspended cymbals still quite ok.woodblock and temple block ok lahs.the rest are fine.
after all the rehearsals, we went to change.alumni band had rehearsal at 6plus.so sec 3s plus those playing with them as well were rushing.at least i manage to get a bite of pizza.that's all for my dinner.at least i ate sthg.
when the concert was starting everyone felt so nervous.when the bell came, all of us was like 'oh oh oh..' lolx.so the concert went on well. den when it was interval, we practised for balloonology one last time.den finally it was the percussion ensemble!ahhh..! the starting wasnt v good, duno why all no sound de..buden after awhile ok le. i like the ending! the confetti ! so NICE! i was amazed as well.the effect was really good.
after that was hi damari.i haf no part so i stayed at the backstage.den there was someone was left out.so mrs song asked me to inform the emcees.i walked out 2 times.diaox.den i duno larhs..after that was anastasia.i went to the stage agn. it started while i was still flipping my file.luckily starting i no part.bud i forgot to take shaker!so i quickly put down cymbals after cymbals part and tried to grab the shaker within 2 bars.aiyo..den play and play...(digital prism, lord of the rings..) finally the encore! hehe..it was really nice for under the sea..balloons poured to the audience.lolx! then when it ended, cheers!
'3 cheers and 3 cheers....'i shouted until i lost my voice.my voice was really out of tune liao.haha..bud it recoverd really fast.this morning i woke up and realise my voice is back! anw, it was really fun.
so after concert, audience left and we clean up the place.omg!the confetti was stuck in between the gaps.v hard to sweep.den the back stage was worst.carpets.harder to sweep.so we had to pick it up.
picking up litter, packed up everything, shifted instrument and everything den boarded the bus.on the bus everyone was so tired.buden not many were aslp.den yizhen gave out the letters she wrote for us.so touching~
and the creepy thing is that i drew a star for her on her card and she drew one for me on the envelope.haha..
den oso receive chocolates and a stalk of rose from ahmad.
den ltr when everyone leaving we took section photo..i no camera =( sad sad sad...
anw gonna really miss all those who are graduating, especially yizhen!
woah! juz realised i flooded in this entry.hahas.okok, i shall stop now....
